Aditya Roy Kapur’s Of ‘The Night Manager’ Couldn’t Secure A Win At The Emmys

Indian version of the Drama Series ‘The Night Manager’ starring Indian actors Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sobhita Dhulipala in the leading roles, was nominated at the 2024 International Emmy Awards for the Best Drama Series Category. The series loses the Best Drama award to the French show 'Les Gouttes de Dieu' (Drops of God).

Directed by Sandeep Modi and Priyanka Ghose, the series has been adapted from the British spy thriller television serial ‘The NightManager’ based on the 1993 novel by John le Carré and adapted by David Farr which starred Hollywood actors Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman.

This year the series was the only entry in the nominations across 14 categories announced on September 19 by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

The suspense thriller revolves around a British soldier and the night manager of a luxury hotel, Jonathan Pine who is hired by an intelligence officer to infiltrate the inner circle of a secretive arms dealer without blowing his cover.
